“TRANSFORMED INTO THE SAME IMAGE FROM GLORY TO GLORY”
(I) THE THEOLOGY OF TRANSFORMATION
1. This is the Ultimate Goal of Salvation in Christ
2. Justification
3. Reconciliation
4. Restoration
5. Sanctification
6. Transformation
7. Glorification (grand finale)
(II) HOW TRANSFORMATION TAKES PLACE
1. God writes upon our hearts (2 Corinthians 3:3)
2. We become epistles of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:3)
3. The Holy Spirit is the Divine Instrument (2 Corinthians 3:3)
4. A special work of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:3)
a) He gives life (2 Corinthians 3:6)
b) He enables and empowers people for ministry (2 Corinthians 3:5-6)
(III) THE TRANSFORMED IMAGE
1. We are transformed into the same image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18)
2. From glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18)
3. This is made possible by the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18)
(IV) A GREAT CHALLENGE
1. To take a hard look at ourselves
2. To check if we have become more Christ-like
3. To pray for this transformation work to take place
4. To yield ourselves to the Spirit of God as He transforms us from glory to glory
