LEARNING HOW TO CATEGORIZE THE LIST OF STATEMENTS
Learning how to gather and list related texts is an important exercise. However, we must move beyond this level of work.

The next thing we need to learn how to do, is to categorize the texts. Let us take a look at the possible categories we can place the various statements under. Please consider the following:-

1. The Relationship of the Lord to the Righteous

a) He will specially take care of the righteous.

The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish…

Proverbs 10:3

b) He will bless the righteous.

Blessings are on the head of the righteous…

Proverbs 10:6

2. Righteousness and Good Words

The mouth of the righteous is a well of life…

Proverbs 10:11

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver…

Proverbs 10:20

The lips of the righteous feed many…

Proverbs 10:21

The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom…

Proverbs 10:31

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable…

Proverbs 10:32

3. Blessings (Fruits) that come from living a life of Righteousness

…righteousness delivers from death.

Proverbs 10:2

The memory of the righteous is blessed…

Proverbs 10:7

The labour of the righteous leads to life…

Proverbs 10:16

… but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.

Proverbs 10:25

The hope of the righteous will be gladness…

Proverbs 10:28

The righteous will never be removed…

Proverbs 10:30

Take time to ponder and pray over these challenging thoughts.
