Text: Proverbs 15
18 April 2004

Dear Parents,

KEEP TEACHING DEEP SPIRITUAL LESSONS
How important it is to keep teaching deep and meaningful spiritual lessons to our children. Let us ponder this word of encouragement from this text.

The LORD is far from the wicked,
But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Proverbs 15:29

Important lessons about the Lord must be taught till they are imprinted on the minds and hearts of our children.

1. The Presence of the Lord

How important it is to introduce children to the Lord early in life. They can learn deep spiritual lessons about the Presence of the Lord.

a) The Lord’s presence will not be with the wicked.

b) The Lord’s presence will be with the righteous.

This concept must be taught well to our children. They would be blessed deeply if they practise this truth in their life.

2. The Lord does hear prayer

What a wonderful thing it is to teach children how that God hears and answers prayer. The following truths are highlighted in this text.

a) That we have a God to whom prayer may be made meaningfully.

b) That we have a God who will take the time to hear our prayers.

c) That we have a God who will respond and answer our prayers.

YOUNG HEROES
Joseph was but a young lad when he was sold as a slave in Egypt. But his faith in the Lord saw him rise up to become a powerful minister of Pharaoh in ancient Egypt.

David learned much about God when he was but a young lad too. In faith, he found the courage to face Goliath!

Samuel was but a small boy when the Lord began to teach him deep truths. He rose up to become one of the most important servants of God.

All began learning about God early in life. Let us teach our children deep spiritual truths. May they rise up to become young heroes of the faith.

Prayerfully,
Pastor Charlie
