Text: Proverbs 31
21 June 2009

Dear Parents,

WITNESSES
How would we know whether a person has truly succeeded? The author offers three witnesses.

She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her.

Proverbs 31:27-28

1. An irrefutable consistent life

The testimony of a consistent life is irrefutable!

a) She continues to “watch over the ways of her household”.

b) She still “does not eat the bread of idleness”.

2. The children

Their testimony will go a long way to testify that she has succeeded in life.

a) They will rise up and honour their mother.

b) They will call her “blessed”.

3. The husband

a) The word “also” suggests the strength of an added testimony.

b) He offers vocal praise for his wife.

IT’S WORTH THE EFFORT
The challenge to succeed in life is worth the effort!

1. Success requires prayer

2. Success requires planning

3. Success requires perseverance

Let us seek to find renewal in the Lord! May we desire to succeed in all we do! Yes, it will require effort! But remember, it is worth it all!

Prayerfully,
Pastor Charlie
