Thanking God For A Great Junior Camp
Praise God! The Lord has once again blessed this year’s junior camp. We do not for one moment take this for granted. We are thankful to see the programmes run smoothly. The children had a great time of fun and learning. They learned about how our Bible came about and how we can love it. By His grace, we also see the children responding to the word of God taught. Only the Lord can do such a work. We cannot help but give glory and thanks to God for His mercies and grace.
Rejoicing To See The Bethany Family Working Together
Furthermore, we rejoice to see different groups of people working together as one. Every year, a group of dedicated camp officers work hard before, during, and after the camp.
We thank God that they have all done a great job. We thank God also for a faithful team of camp cooks who have outdone themselves again by cooking up great meals during the week. We also saw a good group of young people serving as helpers at this camp. About forty of them came together to do the washing up after every meal and the cleaning of the toilets. Some of them were also roped in to help out in the sketches. It brought great joy to my heart to see so many people coming together to serve. We were like one big happy family working together.
Joined And Knit Together
What happened during this week reminded me very much of a text from Ephesians. Paul wrote:
“From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies…”
Ephesians 4:16
All of us have a place in the church. We should never see ourselves as individuals only, but that each one has a part in Church. Everyone can find a place in the body of Christ. We can be joined and knit together by a bond of love. With Christ as our head, we can have a deep sense of closeness with one another as we serve. Young people, you can find your place in the ministries of the Church.
Doing Our Share
“… according to the effective working by which every part does it share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:16
If each of us can find our place in the church, and when we seek to do our part, growth will come to the Church. We can help build up the Church. We are brought together as a body where each joint does its part in supplying what is needed. When we supply our part, the Church will grow. Young people, let’s do our part in serving God at Bethany.
