Preparing To Give Whole-Hearted Praise To God

This Saturday, we will be celebrating together our 33rd anniversary at RCCC. We have seen how the Lord has showered His blessings on our Church these many years. We must prepare ourselves to give God nothing less than whole-hearted praise.

“I will praise You with my whole heart…
I will sing praises to You.”

Psalm 138:1

The Psalmist was determined to give praise with his whole heart. He desired to sing to the Lord and praise His name. We too must desire to give the Lord praise and worship from a whole heart. Let’s prepare our hearts to praise the Lord with great joy.

Personal And Joyous Reasons To Praise God

How was David able to praise God with the whole heart? He found personal and joyous reasons to do so. We too must reflect and find wonderful reasons to praise God.

1. The Lord’s Love For Bethany

“For Your lovingkindness”
Psalm 138:2

The Lord had been most kind and gracious to David. He must have remembered how God had brought him up from being a shepherd to being a great king. The Lord has also loved Bethany all these years. He has brought us up from being a small Church of 20 people to what it is today. Let’s appreciate His lovingkindness on Bethany. Let’s praise Him for His love.

2. The Lord’s Word Magnified

“And Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”

Psalm 138:2

We must also praise God for the word that has been preached over the pulpit. The Lord’s word has been truly magnified. If it was not for the faithful teaching of His truth, we would not have grown as a Church. Let’s praise God for His word.

3. The Lord’s Answers To Our Prayers

“In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.”

Psalm 138:3

The Lord has also answered many of our prayers. When we cried out to Him in times of need, He answered our prayers. When we prayed for a new Church, He answered us. He gave us the strength that was needed to serve Him year after year. We have truly a great and gracious God. Let’s give to the Lord wholehearted praise now and always.
