THE CHALLENGE TO INTEGRATE

A Time To Integrate

Integration is one of the keys to the success of any organisation. Every department of any school or company must work as a fully integrated whole in order to be successful. Without integration, parts of the organisation can turn renegade or obsolete after a while. As we begin a new year of ministry at YPG, we want to focus on the idea of integration among our fellowship groups. The YPG and YAG will be seeking to build greater ties and links with each other. The YPG 1 (Sec. 1-4) and YPG 2 (J.C., poly, university level) will also be refining their roles and building stronger associations with each other. We must not see each other as different groups working separately, but integral groups linked together with a definite and common purpose of promoting spiritual faith, growth and service to God. This year, we will be making greater effort to integrate as fellowship groups.

Joined And Knit Together

“From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does it share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:16

The Apostle Paul wrote of how each Christian is meant to be part of the Church… the body of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the body. Every true believer is meant to form the other parts of the body. Even as muscles and bones are joined together by ligaments, so each Christian is linked and joined together by faith in Christ and love for each other. The Church is meant to be knit together as one. Furthermore, Paul explained how when each part of a human body is healthy and functions well, it does its share in bringing about growth. In a similar way, when each part of the Church does its share well, it will cause growth to it. There are many false teachers out in the world today who can deceive immature Christians. We need to teach each other the truths of God’s word in the spirit of love. We are meant to help each other grow spiritually in order to stand against these false teachers. The YPG and YAG are fellowship groups where we can edify young people and young adults respectively. They can be good training grounds for up and coming leaders. Each group is meant to be knit and joined together as one, seeking to cause growth to the Church.

Making It A Commitment To Come For YPG

This Saturday, we are going to have a combined YPG-YAG meeting. This is going to be our first meeting of the year and we are going to reveal the framework of what we are going to do this year. It is going to be an exciting time of seeing how we can integrate further as fellowship groups. Let’s make it our commitment to come for YPG this year. Let’s seek to be part of a good work where we see more young people learning and growing in faith. If you have friends who want to know more about our faith, do invite them to come for our meetings too. Let’s look forward to more integration and growth at our fellowship groups in 2009.
