The Problem Of Procrastination

Procrastination is a common problem that we face when it comes to soul winning work. Very often, we tend to procrastinate about reaching out to our loved ones and friends. During the days of Jesus, He addressed this widespread problem

“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes”
John 4:35

Many people had the bad habit of putting things off till the next day. They did not have a sense of urgency. The tendency for people was to delay the harvesting of their crops. This is also a representation of how many people today feel about reaching out. There is not that motivation to reach out as they should have.

Great Motivation To Reach Out To The “Harvest Fields”

How can we find great motivation to reach out?

1. Having A Proper Vision Of The Harvest Field

“Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”
John 4:35

The Lord Jesus commanded the disciples to lift up their eyes and see beyond themselves. He wanted them to perceive how the harvest fields were ready for harvesting. Young people, there are many people out in the world who need the gospel. We must have a greater sense of responsibility and urgency in reaching out.

2. Having The Joy Of Sowing And Reaping Together

“And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.'”
John 4:36-37

It takes teamwork to minister in the harvest field. There was an invitation by the Lord Jesus to join Him in this work of harvesting. A farmer needs workers to work for him. Some will sow while others will reap. And yet, both will rejoice in the harvesting of the grain. We too will rejoice when we work together in winning people to Christ.

Bringing Friends To The YPG Outreach

This Saturday 14/04/07, the YPG is having a combined outreach programme. This is a good opportunity for your friends who are non-believers to hear the gospel. Let’s not procrastinate any further. Let’s do whatever we can to bring our friends to the Lord Jesus. Let’s work together to bring more souls to Him.
