“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men” Titus 2:11

(II) Submitting ourselves to the disciplined training of the grace of God

1. Through salvation, the grace of God begins to work significantly in our lives

2. The grace of God would train us in making appropriate choices

“Teaching us that,” Titus 2:12

3. Rejecting the sinful life

“Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,” Titus 2:12

4. Choosing an upright lifestyle

“We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,” Titus 2:12

(III) Experiencing the dynamic workings of Christ through grace

1. He sacrificed Himself for us

“Who gave Himself for us,” Titus 2:14

2. He redeemed us

“That He might redeem us from every lawless deed” Titus 2 :14

3. He purified us

“And purify for Himself” Titus 2:14

4. He made us His special people

“His own special people,” Titus 2:14

5. He creates in us the zeal to do good work

“Zealous for good works.” Titus 2:14

(IV) Expect the development of great hope in the Lord’s second coming

1. A blessed hope

“Looking for the blessed hope” Titus 2:13

2. Glorious appearing to us

“And glorious appearing” Titus 2:13

3. Meeting our God and Savior

“Of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” Titus 2:13
