(I) THE NATIVITY OF JESUS

1. Noble Blood

2. Destiny- Born to be Saviour

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” Luke 2:11

b) The proclamation of Simeon Luke 2:

“My eyes have seen Your salvation” Luke 2:30

(II) THE ENIMAGTIC MINISTRY OF JESUS

1. Called to be a Servant

“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold.
My Elect One in whom My Soul delights
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles” Isaiah 42:1

a) Announced prophetically that Jesus would be God’s Servant

b) Approval of this role of Servanthood

c) Anointing of the Spirit of God for life and ministry

2. Acceptance of Servanthood

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor,
He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind
To set at liberty those who are oppressed
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” Luke 4:18-29

a) Ministry understood

(III) “THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED”

1. Prophecy uttered

a) God’s Proclamation

2. Prophecy fulfilled

(IV) A CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE: To Walk in the Footsteps of Jesus

“Make me a servant
Humble and Meek,
Lord, help me lift up,
Those who are weak
And may the prayer of my life always be
Make me a servant,
Make me a servant,
Make me a servant…
Today”
