(I) THE TROUBLES OF LIFE
“Lord, how they have increased who trouble me” Psalm 3:1a
1. They can come in many different forms
2. They can be relentless
3. They can increase
(II) THE DANGER OF BEING UNDERMINED
“There is no help for him in God” Psalm 3:2b
1. In faith
2. In hope
(III) BELIEVING THAT GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYER
“I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill” Psalm 3:4
1. Crying out to God
2. Crying out to God with firm faith
a) That God is our Shield ( Psalm 3:3a )
b) That God is our Glory ( Psalm 3:3b )
c) That God is the One who lifts up our head- our Vindicator ( Psalm 3:3c )
(IV) DIRECT EFFECTS OF PRAYING IN FAITH
“The LORD sustained me” Psalm 3:5b
1. We can sleep in peace (Psalm 3:5a)
2. We will experience the Lord’s sustaining strength (Psalm 3:5b)
3. We will be able to fend off fear (Psalm 3:6)

“Your blessing is upon Your people” Psalm 3:8b
1. Crying out to God for deliverance (Psalm 3:7)
2. Believing that God will deal with the enemy (Psalm 3:7b)
3. Believing that God will bless His people (Psalm 3:8b)
