(I) AN INVITATION TO BE SAVED

“Look to Me, and be saved,
All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22

b) Returning to God

c) Looking up to God for His promised salvation

(II) THE STRIVINGS OF THE SOUL

1. Ignorance

“Though you have not known Me” Isaiah 45:4d, 5c

2. Conflict

“Woe to Him who strives with his Maker!” Isaiah 45:9a

3. Insolence

“Woe to him who says to his father, “What are you begetting?”
Or to the woman, “What have you brought forth?”
Isaiah 45:10

(III) GLIMPSES OF THE PROMISED SALVATION

1. An everlasting salvation

“But Israel shall be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation.” Isaiah 45:17a

2. No disappointment

“You shall not be ashamed or disgrace forever and ever.” Isaiah 45:17b

3. Not in vain

“I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth;
I did not say to the seed of Jacob, “Seek Me in vain.”
I, the LORD, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right
.” Isaiah 45:19

4. Fully justified

“In the LORD all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.” Isaiah 45:25

(IV) ENCOURAGEMENT TO BELIEVE IN GOD

1. The LORD (Isaiah 45:1a, 5a, 6c)

2. The Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 45:11b)

3. The Maker (Isaiah 45:11c)

4. The LORD of hosts (Isaiah 45:13e)
