Daniel 3:1

a) 60 cubits tall (90 ft; 30 m)

b) 6 cubits wide (9ft; 3 m)

In the plain of Dura

DEDICATION OF THE GOLDEN STATUE
Daniel 3:2-3
Nebuchadnezzar summoned the following to attend the Dedication.

1. Satraps (regional leaders)

2. Administrators

3. Governors

4. Counselors

5. Treasurers

6. Judges

7. Magistrates

8. All provincial officers

COMMAND OF THE KING
Daniel 3:4-7

1. Orchestra
When the orchestra plays

2. All are to worship the Image

3. Those who would not bow would be thrown into a fiery furnace

REFUSAL TO OBEY THE KING
Daniel 3:8-12

1. The faithfulness of Daniel’s 3 friends
They refused to worship the image

2. The Chaldeans
They reported to King Nebuchadnezzar

STANDING BEFORE THE KING
Daniel 3:13-18

1. Nebuchadnezzar interrogates the 3 friends

2. He warns them of the consequences of disobedience

3. The answer of the 3 friends

a) They would not bow to the image

b) God was able to deliver them (if it pleased Him)

IN THE FIERY FURNACE
Daniel 3:19-25
1. The furnace was heated up 7 times more than the usual

2. The heat of the furnace slew the soldiers who threw the 3 friends into the furnace

3. The 3 friends were unharmed

4. There was a 4th Person in the fiery furnace

AN AMAZING END
Daniel 3:26-30

1. Nebuchadnezzar honours God

2. Acknowledgment of the Power of God to protect the 3 friends

3. Promotion of the 3 friends

4. Word of warning against all who spoke against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
