GOD’S RESPONSE TO MOSES’ INTERCESSION

c) The children of Israel were spared
MOSES DESCENDS FROM THE MOUNTAIN

MOSES AND JOSHUA
(On the way down from the mountain)
1. Joshua’s remark
There is a noise of war in the camp Exodus 32:17
2. Moses’ rejoinder
a) It is not the noise of the shout of victory
b) Nor the noise of the cry of defeat
c) But the sound of singing I hear Exodus 32:18
THE ANGER OF MOSES
1. What Moses saw

SURVEYING THE SITUATION

1. Thus says the LORD God of Israel Exodus 32:27

2. Order given
a) To kill all who worshipped the golden calf
b) 3000 people fell that day Exodus 32:27-28
c) The sons of Levi obeyed this order
