THE SACRED TABERNACLE ARTEFACTS
(Review)
1. The Ark of the Testimony Exodus 25:10-22
2. The Table for the Showbread Exodus 25:23-30
3. The Golden Lampstand Exodus 25:31-40
4. The Altar for Burnt Offerings Exodus 27:1-8
THE ALTAR OF INCENSE
1. This was another artefact to be made Exodus 30:1
2. This was a smaller altar than the Burnt Offerings Altar
3. Construction
a) Made of acacia wood Exodus 30:1
b) I cubit in length and width Exodus 30:2
c) 2 cubits in height Exodus 30:2
d) Horns (similar to the ones on the Burnt Offerings Altar) Exodus 30:2
e) To be overlaid with pure gold Exodus 30:3
f) Rings were to be made for carrying purposes Exodus 30:4
g) Pole were to be made of acacia wood and overlaid with gold Exodus 30:5
4. This Altar was to be placed before the Veil
And before the mercy seat over the Ark of Testimony Exodus 30:6
A SPECIAL MEETING PLACE
1. God will meet with Moses at the Altar of Incense Exodus 30:6
2. The Altar of Incense would represent prayers offered
THE KEEPING OF THE ALTAR OF INCENSE
1. Aaron was given charge Exodus 30:7
2. Incense offering was to be given
a) Morning Exodus 30:7
b) Evening Exodus 30:8
c) A perpetual incense offering Exodus 30:8
3. Strong word of admonition
a) No strange incense to be offered on it Exodus 30:9
b) No burnt offering Exodus 30:9
c) No grain offering Exodus 30:9
d) No drink offering Exodus 30:9
THE DAY OF ATONEMENT
1. This was an Annual Event
2. The blood from the sin offering will be put on the horns of the Incense Altar
a) To cleanse the Altar of Incense
b) To sanctify the Altar of Incense
3. The Day of Atonement is most holy to the Lord Exodus 30:10
