UNITY

ENDEAVOURING TO KEEP UNITY

1. One body            Ephesians 4:4

2. One Spirit

3. One hope

4. One Lord            Ephesians 4:5

5. One faith

6. One baptism

7. One God and Father of all            Ephesians 4:6

THAT WHICH CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS UNITY            Ephesians 4: 11-16

1. The servants of God

a) Apostles
b) Prophets
c) Evangelists
d) Pastors/Teachers Ephesians 4:11

2. Equipping of the saints

a) For the work of ministry            Ephesians 4:12
b) For the edifying of the body of Christ            Ephesians 4:12
c) Till we all come to the unity of the faith            Ephesians 4:13
d) And of the knowledge of the Son of God            Ephesians 4:13
e) To a perfect man Ephesians 4:13
f) To the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ            Ephesians 4:13

3. Grave dangers

a) Immature faith (children)            Ephesians 4:14
b) Tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine
c) By the trickery of men
c) Cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting            Ephesians 4:14

4. Towards Healthy and Strong Growth

a) Speaking the truth in love            Ephesians 4:15
b) Growing up in all things into Christ            Ephesians 4:15
c) The whole body Ephesians 4:16

i) Joined and knit together            Ephesians 4:16
ii) By what every joint supplies            Ephesians 4:16
iii) According to the effective working by which every part does its share            Ephesians 4:16
iv) Causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love            Ephesians 4:16

The fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

a) Understanding the mystery of God’s will
b) Relating to the Lord through the Spirit
c) Growing significantly towards full maturity
d) Contributing and promoting Unity
e) Endeavouring to keep the Unity of the Spirit
