5. Revelation of the Divine Plan of God

a) Compassion of God

i) Oppression

The oppression of My people who are in Egypt…

ii) Cries

Heard their cry because of their taskmasters…

iii) Sorrows

I know their sorrows.

b) Complete Plan of God

i) Deliverance

I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians…

Exodus 3:8a

ii) Destination: The Promised Land

And to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

iii) To conquer the land and then to settle in Book of Joshua

c) Challenge to the spiritual leader

i) To comprehend the Divine Plan of God revealed

ii) To stand in awe of the revealed will of God

6. Call of the spiritual leader

Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

That you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

d) Examples of people who understood and fulfilled their calling

i) Jesus          John 4:34; 9:4; 17:4; Hebrews 10:5-7

ii) Paul          Acts 26:18; 2 Timothy 1:8-12

e) Challenge to the spiritual leader

i) To understand God’s calling

ii) To be convicted of this calling

iii) To fulfill God’s calling

iv) To do it God’s way- following the leading of the Lord

7. Reflection: Divine Leadership is the key concept that must be comprehended

a) God’s Plans are revealed

b) God’s Personal Involvement

8. The Secular approach

a) The focus is on man

b) His efforts

c) His plans

d) His vision

e) Obvious shortcomings: –

i) Limited vision

ii) Limited power

iii) Impossible to achieve significant spiritual victory
