THE TREASURES OF THE HEART

1. Common treasures

a) Treasures on earth                        (Matthew 6:19)

b) But there are problems: –

i) Moth

ii) Rust

 iii) Thieves

2. Uncommon treasures

 a) Treasures in heaven                                     (Matthew 6:20)

b) No problems: –

i) No moth

ii) No rust

iii) No thieves

3. The heart of the matter

a) The heart

b) Where the treasure is, the heart will be also (Matthew 6:21)

THE ROOT PROBLEM

1. The question of the eye  (Matthew 6:22-23)

a) The lamp of the body is the eye             (Matthew 6:22)

b) If the eye is good

c) There will be light

d) The whole body will be full of light

2. If the eye is bad  (Matthew 6:23)

a) The whole body is full of darkness

b) How great is that darkness!

TWO MASTERS

1. God or mammon

2. One cannot serve two masters

3. Love or hate

4. Loyalty or despising
