HIS ANOINTED
“The Messiah”- His coming was prophesied time and again,
The prophets waxed eloquent, Psalmists offered a refrain.
He would be recognized as the King who comes in God’s name,
He would be The Anointed, and believers need not be ashamed!
He would be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit of God,
He would speak with authority with a Message from the Lord.
He would bring give liberty to those who are severely bound,
And to all who seek Him with the heart, He would be found!
In His humility, He would come and serve as the Servant-King!
Those with earthly wisdom would never see His royal signet ring.
But to those who know Him, they see the Way, the Truth and the Life,
How precious that He would come personally and free us from strife!
In jubilation, we celebrate the Triumphal Entry of Jesus as the King,
To Him, our praises, our hearts, our worship we gladly bring.
There is no one else we acknowledge as the Messiah of God,
Only Jesus the Christ, who has come in the name of the LORD!
