A STRONG WORD OF PRAISE
1. With the whole heart (Psalm 9:1)
2. Speaking of the works of God (Psalm 9:1)
3. Gladness (Psalm 9:2)
4. Singing of praises to God’s name (Psalm 9:2)
SOME REASONS FOR SUCH PRAISE
1. The defeat of enemies (Psalm 9:3a)
a) They fall
b) They perish
2. The Presence of God (Psalm 9:3b)
a) He battles the enemies
b) He maintained David
i) His right
ii) His cause (Psalm 9:4)
c) God on His throne
i) Judging in righteousness (Psalm 9:4)
ii) Rebuking of the nations (Psalm 9:5)
iii) Destroying of the wicked (Psalm 9:5)
iv) Blotting out of their name forever (Psalm 9:5)
3. The Person of God
a) The LORD shall endure forever (Psalm 9:6)
b) He has prepared His throne for judgment (Psalm 9:7)
i) He shall judge the world in righteousness (Psalm 9:8a)
ii) He shall administer judgment for all the peoples (Psalm 9:8b)
c) The LORD will be a refuge
i) For the oppressed (Psalm 9:9)
ii) In times of trouble (Psalm 9:9)
4. Those who know the name of the LORD
a) They will put their trust in the LORD (Psalm 9:10)
b) They will seek the LORD
c) The LORD would not let them down (Psalm 9:10)
