MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST

Text: Ephesians 2

OUR SALVATION IN CHRIST
We have glorious salvation in Christ Jesus the Lord. Let us seek to deepen our understanding of what it means to have this wonderful salvation in Christ. Let us seek to understand this aspect of salvation the Apostle Paul wrote about.

But God who is rich in mercy,
Because of His great love with which He loved us,

Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive
Together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

And raised us up together, and made us sit together
In the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.     Ephesians 2:4-6

1. How was the salvation of God planned?

a) Out of the rich mercy of God

b) Out of His great love

c) Out of His glorious grace

2. For whom did God plan salvation?

a) Trespassers

b) Those who were dead in trespasses

3. What are the effects of His plan of salvation

a) Sinners dead in sin are made alive

b) They are gloriously saved by grace

c) They are raised up to sit with Christ in His glory

These are almost unbelievable truths that we must never take for granted! Let us ponder how we should respond to the Lord for this salvation we have in Christ!

THE WORKMANSHIP OF GOD
Let us ponder the following text that Paul wrote in close proximity to the above word.

For we are His workmanship,

Created in Christ Jesus for good works,

Which God prepared beforehand that

We should walk in them.     Ephesians 2:10

1. God’s plan

a) This had been planned together with salvation

b) We are meant to reflect the workmanship of God

2. Good works

a) Let us consider the good works that we can do for the glory of God

b) We should walk in the light of this truth

Let us seek to practice this glorious truth about our being “complete in Christ! Let us live powerfully and significantly for the Lord.
