COMING TO THE THRONE OF GOD

  1. In consciousness of our many weaknesses Hebrews 4:15
  1. In consciousness of how easily tempted we are Hebrews 4:15
  1. Implied (and how easily we falter and fail)

HOW SHOULD WE COME TO THE THRONE OF GOD?

  1. Holding fast to our confession of faith Hebrews 4:14
  1. Finding comfort in our knowledge of the LORD

a. He sympathises with our weaknesses

b. He was tempted but He overcame temptations

c. He was without sin Hebrews 4:15

  1. Coming boldly to the throne of God

a. It is a throne of grace Hebrews 4:16

b. We will obtain mercy Hebrews 4:16

c. We will find grace to help in our time of need Hebrews 4:16

d. Let us come boldly

i) Because of the Lord Jesus as our Great High Priest

ii) Because of His relationship with us as our Saviour, Lord and High priest

BIBLE MEMORY VERSE

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need.
