Christ who strengthens me

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13)

a. All things is a reference to the many circumstances that are going to be difficult
b. We can be strong enough to face all these circumstances

Christ-centredness gives us strength

1. Christ is the One who strengthens us internally
a. The Greek word “endunamoo” means “to make strong”
b. This is a reference to the dynamic power of Christ
c. Christ made Paul strong with His dynamic power
d. Christ can empower us to face all our challenges

2. Being Christ-centred strengthens us
a. The word “through” is better translated “in”
b. It is be to be in Christ
c. When we are Christ-centred, we are strengthened by Him
d. The book of Philippians has been all about Christ
e. Every aspect of Christ is meant to strengthen us
f. His grace, peace, love and more empowers us
g. As Christ empowers us, we are strong enough to do all things
