TRUST IN THE LORD
In You, O LORD, I have put my trust (Psalm 30:1a)
1. Trust is essentially an exercise of faith in God
2. It is a spiritual discipline that needs to be learned
EARLY LESSONS OF TRUST IN GOD
1. Learning to put trust in the LORD
And put your trust in the LORD (Psalm 4:5b)
2. Rejoicing because of trust in the LORD
But let all rejoice who put their trust in Him (Psalm 5:11)
TRUSTING THE LORD BECOMES THE FIRST THING ESTABLISHED
Note the first thought of trusting the Lord expressed in the following Psalms.
1. O LORD God, in You I put my trust (Psalm 7:1)
2. In the LORD, I put my trust (Psalm 11:1)
3. Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust (Psalm 16:1)
