OBSERVATIONS

1. Those who are truly blessed

2. Why are they so blessed?

a) His transgression is forgiven
b) His is covered
c) The LORD does not impute iniquity
d) There is no deceit in this person   (Psalm 32:1-2)

PERSONAL REFLECTION

1. Obviously, not as blessed

2. Unresolved sin problems

3. Honest and candid thoughts:

a) Keeping silent about sins   (Psalm 32:3)
b) Consequences
i) Bones grew old   (Cf. Psalm 31:10)
ii) Groaning all the day long   (Psalm 32:3)

DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

1. God’s hand was heavy on life   (Psalm 32:4)

2. Vitality was like the drought of summer   (Psalm 32:4)

CONFESSION

1. Acknowledgment of sin to God   (Psalm 32:5)

2. No hiding of iniquity from God   (Psalm 32:5)

3. Determination to confess fully   (Psalm 32:5)

FORGIVENESS WAS OBTAINED

“You forgave the iniquity of my sin”   Psalm 32:5

1. Sin forgiven

2. Iniquity (the evil) beneath the son, also forgiven
