1. To generate faith

THE NATURE OF GOD’S WORD
(Hebrews 4:12)

1. It is living

2. It is powerful

3. It is sharper than any two-edged sword

4. It is able to divide

a) Soul/ spirit
b) Joints/ marrow

5. It is able to discern

a) Thoughts
b) Intents of the heart

EFFECTIVELY

1. No creature hidden from God’s sight (Hebrews 4:13)

2. All things are naked and open to God (Hebrews 4:13b)

ACCOUNTABILITY

1. We are accountable to God (Hebrews 4:13c)

2. We are held accountable to God’s word

3. Clear statement about accountability
God requires an account of the past (Ecclesiastes 3:15)
