IT IS GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU

GREAT EXAMPLES

We have many great examples who inspire us significantly. Some are recorded in the Scriptures. Others we know in real-life. Thank God for every example we are privileged to be acquainted with!

BEHIND EVERY GREAT EXAMPLE

Behind every great hero or heroine, we will find that God worked in their live most evidently. This truth is well-stated in the following text:

For it is God who works in you

Both to will and to do for His good pleasure.     Philippians 2:13

  1. Clear examples of outstanding people

a) Clear example: Ezra

i) He was a renowned scholar

ii) He helped bring back the Scriptures to the returning Jews

b) Clear example: Nehemiah

i) He was not a scholar but a courageous leader

ii) He was needed to organize the returning Jews in Israel

c) Clear example: Esther

i) Queen Esther saved thousands of Jews

ii) She was in the right place and at the right time

d) Clear example: Mordecai

i) Mordecai guarded and guided Esther all her life

ii) He played a key role in the days of the Medo-Persian empire 

  1. It was God who worked in their lives

a) He worked to strengthen their will

b) He enabled them to serve His purposes

  1. God’s pleasure

a) He delights to work in the lives of His servants

b) He is happy to redeem and deliver His people out of all their troubles

OUR CHALLENGE

Let us desire to have God work in and through us! We will be able to live far more significantly when we have the Lord work in our hearts. Let us seek to yield our hearts fully to the Lord that we may become fruitful servants of His!
