A Glimpse Of The Future
Text: John 21: 18
A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE
The Lord Jesus once warned Peter that he would deny Him and His word came to pass. He now gave a glimpse of the future that Peter would face.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”
John 21:18

b. There will be other forces at work.
c. These external forces would be enemies.

ADVICE TO BE HEEDED
Peter would do well to take heed to this solemn word. What would help him face the tough future courageously? It would be his genuine and strong love for the Lord Jesus Christ. If that love is strong enough, it would enable him to face the toughest of circumstances!
