THE GLORY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Not everyone was able to see the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. The following were not able to see His glory.

  1. The multitudes

Thousands were recorded to have left Him when they rejected His teachings (John 6:66)

  1. Many of the religious leaders

a) The scribes

b) The chief priests

c) The Pharisees

d) The Sadducees

THOSE WHO SAW HIS GLORY

There was small group of followers who were also called “Disciples.”

  1. Some reasons they followed Jesus:

a) They heard His teachings

b) They saw His miracles

c) They appreciated the way He lived

  1. They caught glimpses of His glory:

a) Jesus was indeed “The way, the truth and the life” John 14:6

b) His life reflected the glory of God Himself

c) There were many manifestations:

i)   The truths He proclaimed

ii)  The grace that He showed

iii) The compassion that was manifested 

  1. These were determined to serve the Lord Jesus

a) Some were made apostles

b) They became pillars of the church

c) They sought to reflect the glory of the Lord in their lives too

OUR CHALLENGE

Let us seek to understand the glory of the Lord! Let us seek to be refreshed and revitalized as we gaze upon our wonderful Saviour and Lord!
