Text: Genesis 8: 13-19

MEDITATION

Genesis 8:13-19

13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry.
14 And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dried.
15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying,
16 “Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you.
17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him.
19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. Noah’s wisdom

a. This was expressed in patience.
b. It was not easy to remain confined for so long but he continued to wait till the flood had totally subsided.

2. God’s word to Noah

a. God’s instructions were given.
b. Noah once again obeyed the LORD and His word.
c. It must have been with much relief and joy to leave the ark.
Noah and his family had been wondrously preserved.

3. Noah’s example

His example of being righteous and obedient to the LORD is to be emulated. There is great blessing to walk with the LORD faithfully as Noah did.

《创世记 8：13-19》
13到挪亚六百零一岁，正月初一日，地上的水都干了。挪亚撤去方舟的盖观看，便见地面上干了。
14到了二月二十七日，地就都干了。
15神对挪亚说：
16“你和你的妻子、儿子、儿妇都可以出方舟。
17在你那里凡有血肉的活物，就是飞鸟、牲畜和一切爬在地上的昆虫，都要带出来，叫它在地上多多滋生，大大兴旺。”
18于是挪亚和他的妻子、儿子、儿妇都出来了。

19一切走兽、昆虫、飞鸟和地上所有的动物，各从其类，也都出了方舟。

在生活里有意义地应用

1．挪亚的智慧

a．表达在他的耐性
b．长久被困不是一件容易之事，可是他却继续等待到洪水已经完全退落

2．上帝対挪亚的话语

a．上帝吩咐他
b．挪亚再次地尊从上帝和祂的话语
c．能够离开方舟应该使他们很庆幸和欢喜
挪亚和他的家人美好的被保存

3．挪亚的榜样

他正义和顺从上帝的榜样是値得我们学习的。如挪亚一样有信心地与上帝行会带来极大的赐福。
