Text: Genesis 12: 1-3

MEDITATION

Genesis 12:1-3

1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. The LORD spoke to Abram

a. This was surely an uplifting experience.
b. These were special words of promise from God.

2. A big step of faith was needed

a. Abram was asked to leave both his country and family.
b. Abram would have to believe that God had indeed spoken to him.
He would have to exercise faith.

3. The promise of blessing

a. He will be blessed significantly and will have a great name.
b. God will protect him from danger.
c. He will be a blessing to all the families of earth.
Abram’s faith would be stretched and tested if he were to act on these words from God.

《创世记 12:1-3》
1 耶和华对亚伯兰说：“你要离开本地、本族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。
2 我必叫你成为大国，我必赐福给你，叫你的名为大，你也要叫别人得福。

3 为你祝福的，我必赐福于他；那咒诅你的，我必咒诅他。地上的万族都要因你得福。”

在生活里有意义地应用

1. 上帝对亚伯兰说话

a. 这确实是一个振奋人心的经历
b. 这包含了上帝特别的应许

2. 必须凭信心迈出一大步

a. 亚伯兰被指示要离开他的本地及父家
b. 亚伯兰必须相信上帝的确与他说话。他必须凭信心这么做。

3. 赐福的应许

a. 他会大大地得福，名也会被称为大
b. 上帝会保护他免受危险
c. 他会是地上的万族的福份
如果亚伯兰照上帝的吩咐而行,他的信心将会受测探及考验。
