Text: Genesis 22: 15-19

MEDITATION

Genesis 22:15-19

15 Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven,
16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—
17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. A further word from the Angel of the LORD

a. This word was accompanied by an oath taken by the LORD.
b. He will certainly bless Abraham.
i. The blessing will go to His descendants.
ii. The descendants will be many.
iii. They will also be powerful.
iv. They will be able to defeat their enemies.
c. This blessing will also be given to “all the nations of the earth”.

2. Reason for this blessing

a. Because of the obedience of Abraham.
b. Because of his faith in the LORD.

3. Returning home

a. Abraham met his servants who were waiting for him.
b. He returned to his home in Beersheba.

《创世记 22：15-19》
15耶和华的使者第二次从天上呼叫亚伯拉罕说：
16 “耶和华说：‘你既行了这事，不留下你的儿子，就是你独生的儿子，我便指着自己起誓说：
17 论福，我必赐大福给你；论子孙，我必叫你的子孙多起来，如同天上的星，海边的沙；你子孙必得着仇敌的城门；
18 并且地上万国都必因你的后裔得福，因为你听从了我的话。’”

19 于是亚伯拉罕回到他仆人那里，他们一同起身往别是巴去，亚伯拉罕就住在别是巴。

在生活里有意义地应用

1. 上帝的使者第二次从天上呼叫

a. 这次，这话也包括了上帝的誓言
b. 祂必赐大福给亚伯拉罕
i. 他的子孙必得上帝的赐福
ii. 他的子孙将会多起来
iii. 他们也将会力量强大
iv. 他们将会打败仇敌
c. 这赐福也将给予“地上万国”

2. 得着赐福的理由

a. 因为亚伯拉罕顺服上帝
b. 因着他对上帝的信心

3. 回家

a. 亚伯拉罕与在等候他的仆人会面
b. 他返回别是巴的家
