BE EXALTED IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH
We need not be overly perturbed when the wicked arise;
That they will plot and plan to hurt, must not be a surprise.
But the wicked have not reckoned they deal with God;
They will face the Supreme Judge who is the LORD.
We must not harbour feelings of anger and revenge;
The LORD Himself, our righteous God will Himself, avenge.
He will deal with the wicked in His sovereign will;
The unrepentant enemies of God would be stilled.
We must shudder at the fate of the wicked;
They are victims of their own hatred.
They will bring sorrow on their children;
This is the reality of God’s will in Heaven.
We may rejoice in the LORD and His strength;
His will is inviolate and will reach great length.
May we learn to humbly trust in the LORD!
May we determine to be faithful to our God!
