I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER
How wonderful it is to have a glorious hope;
A strong faith in God will truly help us cope.
When death takes place we need not feel shattered;
The Lord has promised that we would be sheltered.
On this earth, we will see the Lord’s protection;
Out of His grace and mercy there will be provision.
He will meet all our needs as He has promised;
Each and every blessing is to be cherished.
The reality of our mortality need not cause depression;
Our hope in God will help us to find quiet consolation.
Our life on earth is but a journey to our heavenly home;
And there in Heaven, we would never need to roam.
The thought of eternity is not an easy one to comprehend;
Our finite minds are not able to completely understand.
But we can have a true hope that is steady and strong;
And deep within our heart God gives a joyous song.
