I AM GOD, YOUR GOD
There was a moment of great historic significance;
This was a very special time of great importance.
A Biblical record was carefully preserved for posterity;
The LORD was Israel’s God for all eternity!
Sadly, with the passing of time, many forget;
A poor attitude towards God is one for regret!
The LORD had to call for a special gathering;
He would personally address this foolish sin.
He would remind Israel they were His people;
They were called “saints,” for they were special.
This was something Israel seemed to have forgotten;
They were loved by none other than the God of heaven!
How we must learn from the mistakes of Israel;
In the Lord our God, we should truly revel.
We too are called “saints” in Christ Jesus;
He has sanctified us and made us righteous!
