MEDITATION

Exodus 11:9-10

9 But the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not heed you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
10 So Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; and the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. God’s word to Moses

a. Pharaoh would not heed him.
b. He had never heeded all this while.
c. He would not heed even if there is a threat to the lives of the firstborn.

2. A summary word

a. Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh.
b. The plagues recalled:
i. Water to blood
ii. Frogs
iii. Lice
iv. Flies
v. Livestock struck by pestilence
vi. Boils
vii. Hail
viii. Locusts
ix. Thick darkness
x. The threat of death on the firstborn

3. The hardened heart of Pharaoh

a. Pharaoh hardened his heart.
b. God hardened his heart.
i. He allowed it to remain hard.
ii. He did not soften it.
c. He did not let the children of Israel go, though nine plagues had already befallen on Egypt.
