YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS

 THE END OF AN ERA

The ministry of Moses was long and successful. His accomplishments were many:

  1. He led Israel out of Egypt
  1. He led Israel for 40 years in the wilderness
  1. He taught the nation the Laws of God
  1. He interceded for the nation time and again in critical times
  1. He overcame many challenging problems successfully

He was 120 years old when he completed his life’s work. He was given the special honour of being buried by God in the land of Moab (Deuteronomy 34:5-12).

THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA

The mantle of leadership fell on Joshua. He was chosen by the Lord and he was full of the spirit of wisdom (Deuteronomy 34:9). The way to succeed was spelt out.

  1. To hold fast to God’s promises

a) As I was with Moses, so I will be with you     Joshua 1:5a

b) I will not leave you nor forsake you     Joshua 1:5b

c) The LORD is with you wherever you go     Joshua 1:9

  1. To make an appropriate response

a) Be strong

b) And of good courage     Joshua 1:6a, 7a

c) To observe to do according to the Law     Joshua 1:7b

d) To meditate on the Law, day and night     Joshua 1:8a

  1. Assurance

a) Then you will make your way prosperous     Joshua 1:8b

b) Then you will have good success     Joshua 1:8c

SUCCESS IN LIFE 

Everyone wants to have success in life. This is not a wrong desire. We have a clear teaching on how success may come about. Our part is to fulfil what the Lord has taught!
