Text: Exodus 26:31-34

MEDITATION

Exodus 26:31-34

31 “You shall make a veil woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen. It shall be woven with an artistic design of cherubim.
32 You shall hang it upon the four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be gold, upon four sockets of silver.
33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.
34 You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. The Veil

a. It is made of blue, purple and scarlet thread.

b. Out of fine woven linen.

c. The motif of “cherubim” would be woven in.

2. It is to be hung upon four pillars of acacia wood

a. The wood is to be overlaid with gold.

b. Silver sockets were to be used.

3. The Ark of the Testimony

a. This would be placed in the innermost part of the Sanctuary.

i. This would contain the Scriptures.

ii. The Ark represented the Presence of God with His people (Exodus 25:21-22).

b. The Veil would be the divider between:

i. The Most Holy Place

ii. The Holy Place

c. The Mercy Seat is to be placed on the Ark of the Testimony which would be placed inside the Most Holy Place.

31 “你要用蓝色、紫色、朱红色线和捻的细麻织幔子，以巧匠的手工绣上基路伯。
32 要把幔子挂在四根包金的皂荚木柱子上，柱子上当有金钩，柱子安在四个带卯的银座上。
33 要使幔子垂在钩子下，把法柜抬进幔子内，这幔子要将圣所和至圣所隔开。

34 又要把施恩座安在至圣所内的法柜上

在生活里有意义地应用

1. 幔子

a. 用蓝色、紫色、朱红色线制成

b. 用捻的细麻制成

c. 绣上“基路伯”的主题

2. 要把幔子挂在四根皂荚木的柱子上

a. 木要包金

b. 要用带卯的银座

3. 法柜

a. 这放在至圣所里

i. 圣经将放此处

ii. 法柜代表上帝与祂的人民同在《出埃及 25: 21-22》

b. 幔子要隔开：

i. 至圣所

ii. 圣所

c. 施恩座要安在至圣所内的法柜上
