MEDITATION
Exodus 33:12
12 Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Learning vital Lessons about prayer
a. Moses learned much about praying to God. This had to be learned through personal experience.
b. He learned about God’s anger against:
i. Stubborn and wilful sinning.
ii. The problem of idolatry.
2. Applying Lessons learned in further prayer
a. Moses knew that God desired him to pray further. This was what he did.
b. He brought up some matters to God in prayer.
c. The Mission of God
i. God’s mission given to Moses.
“To bring up this people.”
Exodus 33:12a
ii. Moses had done this already. He had brought Israel out of Egypt.
iii. What was the next thing God wanted him to do?
d. Further knowledge was needed:
i. “But You have not let me know whom You will send with me.”
ii. Moses knew he would need more people to help him in ministry.
iii. He asked God to indicate whom He would send with him.
e. Appreciation of what God had shown him:
i. That God knows him by name.
ii. That God had shown him much grace.

12摩西对耶和华说:“你吩咐我说:‘将这百姓领上去’,却没有叫我知道你要打发谁与我同去,只说:‘我按你的名认识你,你在我眼前也蒙了恩。’”
