Text: Exodus 37: 25-29

MEDITATION

Exodus 37:25-29

25 He made the incense altar of acacia wood. Its length was a cubit and its width a cubit—it was square—and two cubits was its height. Its horns were of one piece with it.
26 And he overlaid it with pure gold: its top, its sides all around, and its horns. He also made for it a molding of gold all around it.
27 He made two rings of gold for it under its molding, by its two corners on both sides, as holders for the poles with which to bear it.
28 And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.
29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the perfumer.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. Bezalel’s further work

a. The Incense Altar would represent the prayers offered to the Lord.

b. Its importance was stated in Exodus 30:1-10.

c. This Incense Altar was made by Bezalel.

2. The Holy Anointing oil

a. Bezalel was also skilled in the art of perfumery.

b. The knowledge of making the anointing oil was not common knowledge.

c. This was recorded in Exodus 30:22-33.

d. This was made by Bezalel and recorded in Exodus 37:29a.

3. The pure incense of sweet spices

a. This was recorded in Exodus 30:34-38.

b. This was made by Bezalel and recorded in Exodus 37:29b.

Bezalel was truly an anointed artisan, blessed with great wisdom and skill. His personal contribution is to be greatly appreciated!

《出埃及记 37:25-29》
25他用皂荚木做香坛，是四方的，长一肘，宽一肘，高二肘，坛的四角与坛接连一块。
26又用精金把坛的上面与坛的四面并坛的四角包裹，又在坛的四围镶上金牙边。
27做两个金环，安在牙子边以下，在坛的两旁两根横撑上，作为穿杠的用处，以便抬坛。
28用皂荚木做杠，用金包裹。

29又按做香之法做圣膏油和馨香料的净香。
