Text: Luke 7: 36-38

AN INVITATION TO DINE WITH A PHARISEE

1. A Pharisee actually asked the Lord Jesus to eat with him in his home

a. This was unusual.

b. This Pharisee seemed to be a little different from his circle of friends.

c. The Pharisees were not actually forbidden to eat with others.

2. The Lord Jesus Christ showed much grace

a. He did not despise anyone.

b. If it was possible to befriend anyone, the Lord Jesus would do this.

c. He accepted this invitation and sat down to eat (Luke 7:36).

IN THE HOME OF THE PHARISEE

1. A woman entered the home of the Pharisee (Luke 7:37)

2. Reputation of the woman

a. She was known as “a sinner”.

i. This term was used to describe a person of ill-repute.

ii. In all likeliness, she was probably a prostitute.

b. She had heard that the Lord Jesus was in the home of this Pharisee.

i. She was not an invited guest.

ii. But she came with an alabaster flak of fragrant oil (Luke 7:37).

iii. It was very brave of her to go into a house of a Pharisee.

iv. She knew that they despised her!

3. A very unusual deed

a. She first stood at the feet of the Lord Jesus (Luke 7:38a..

b. Then she shed many tears.

i. That the Lord had not rejected her.

ii. She was conscious of her sinfulness.

c. With her tears she washed His feet (symbolically). {Luke 7:38b}

d. She then wiped His feet with her hair (Luke 7:38c).

e. She bent low and kissed His feet (Luke 7:38d).

f. She then anointed His feet with the fragrant oil (Luke 7:38e).

4. At the dining table

a. No one said a word.

b. But all were watching the scene.

c. The Lord Jesus allowed this deed to be done but had said nothing.

d. What was this all about? What did this mean?

1．一位法利赛人竟邀请主耶稣到他家去吃饭

a．这是很不寻常的事

b．这位法利赛人似乎与他圈内的朋友不一样

c．法利赛人实际上并没有被禁止与他人一起吃饭

2．主耶稣施予了极大的恩典

a．祂不鄙视任何人

b．如果能和任何人交朋友，主耶稣都会做到

c．祂接受了这个邀请，坐下来吃饭《路加福音 7：36》

在法利赛人的家里

1．一个女人进入了法利赛人的家里《路加福音 7：37》

2．那女人的名声

a．她被称为“罪人”

i．这个词被用来描述一个声名狼籍的人

ii．很有可能，她也许是一个妓女

b．她听说了主耶稣在这个法利赛人的家里坐席

i．她不是受邀的客人

ii．但她带着一个盛香膏的玉瓶来到《路加福音 7：37》

iii．她走进法利赛人的房子，这是非常勇敢的

iv．她知道他们都鄙视她!

3．一个非常不寻常的行为

a．她起初是站在主耶稣背后，挨着祂的脚《路加福音7：38a》

b．然后她流了很多眼泪

i．因为主耶稣没有排斥她

ii．她意识到自己的罪孽

c．她用眼泪为祂洗脚(象征性地)《路加福音 7：38b》

d．然后她用头发擦干祂的脚《路加福音 7：38c》

e．她弯下腰用嘴连连亲祂的脚《路加福音 7：38d》

f．然后她用香膏抹祂的脚《路加福音 7：38e》

4．在餐桌上

a．没有人说一句话

b．但是所有人都在看着这一幕

c．主耶稣允许这事的发生，什么也没说

d．这到底是怎么回事？这意味着什么？
