Text: Luke 8: 11-13

EXPLANATION OF THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER I

1. The seed

This is the word of God. (Luke 8:11)

2. The wayside (Luke 8:12)

a. The ones who hear.

i. The casual hearer.

ii. He listens but not with any great sense of interest.

b. The work of the devil.

i. He comes.

ii. He takes away the word out of their hearts.

iii. He does not want the seed to take root.

iv. He knows the word of God can generate faith that leads to salvation; he prevents faith if he can.

c. Lessons we must learn.

i. Let us be aware that the devil can snatch away the word of God.

ii. Let us resist his efforts.

iii. Let us determine not to become casual listeners.

iv. Let us recognize the value of God’s word and its power to give us salvation.

v. Let us make every effort to listen well to the Lord’s word.

3. The ones on the rock (Luke 8:13)

a. They hear and they receive the word with joy.

i. But these do not have much roots.

ii. They carry on for a while.

b. But when temptation (testing comes), they fall away.

c. Lessons must be learned:

i. We do not need to be shallow.

ii. We can become people of depth.

iii. Joy is an indication of the worth of God’s word.

iv. Let us not let this joy become fleeing.

v. Let us desire a joy that will last and last!

i. 随意的听者

b. 魔鬼的工作

ii. 他把他们心里的道夺去

iii. 他不想要道在心中成根

iv. 他知道上帝的话语能叫人信并带来救恩；他尽能力防止信

c. 我们得学习的教训

i. 让我们知道魔鬼可以夺去上帝的话语

ii. 让我们抵抗他

iii. 让我们坚决不成为随意的听者

iv. 让我们意识到上帝话语的价值和能给予我们救恩的大能

v. 让我们竭尽所能好好地听主的话语

3. 在磐石上的《路加福音 8：13》

a. 他们听了道后，欢喜领受

i. 但他们心中没有根

ii. 他们持续了一阵子

b. 但当诱惑（试炼）来临，他们就退后了

c. 我们得学习：

i. 我们不必肤浅

ii. 我们可以成为有深度的人

iii. 喜悦表示了上帝话语的价值

iv. 让我们不允许这喜悦成为暂时性的

v. 让我们寻求持续不断的喜悦！
