PROPHECY OF CALLING OUT OF EGYPT

1. Prophecy stated

a) “Out of Egypt I called My Son” Matthew 2:15b

b) Original word Hosea 11:1

2. Hosea’s prophecy

“When Israel was a child, I loved him,
And out of Egypt I called My son. Hosea 11:1

a) Hosea’s ministry to Israel

b) He sought to remind Israel of God’s love

c) Israel had forsaken the Lord

d) The nation had turned to worship idols instead

3. Meaning of this statement

a) Historical reference

i) When Israel was enslaved by Egypt

ii) Moses was sent to the Pharaoh
with a demand from God
