My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)
我夜间的歌曲《路加福音》
Text: Luke 12: 22-24
HOW DO WE VIEW LIFE?
1. Many just live but do not have a clear view of life.
2. Many others worry about life and all its problems.
THE LORD JESUS’ VIEW OF LIFE
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?’”
Luke 12:22-24
1. This view of life was taught to His Disciples.
2. His view of life may be summarised thus:
a. “Do not worry”
i. About provision (food.
ii. About provision (clothing)
b. The Lord addressed a problem that many had.
i. Worries of life’s provision.
ii. There is a hint of worry about the future.
3. Important teaching:
a. Life is of greater significance than:
i. Concerns about Food.
ii. Concerns about Clothing.
b. Looking at the Ravens:
i. They do not sow.
ii. They do not reap.
iii. They do not have storehouses.
iv. They have no barns.
c. Man on the other hand:
i. Worry about sowing and reaping.
ii. Worry about storehouses and barns.
iii. Worrying does nothing good at all!
4. Assurance given:
a. God feeds the ravens.
b. God will provide for us too.
c. We are of far more value than the birds of the air!
