My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)
Text: Luke 13: 10-13
TEACHING MINISTRY
1. It was customary of the Lord Jesus:
a. To spend time on the Sabbath in a local synagogue.
b. To teach the Word of God.
2. On one occasion
a. He came across a woman who had “a spirit of infirmity”.
b. She suffered from this for 18 long years.
c. She was so bent that she could not straighten up at all.
d. The mention of “a spirit” would suggest:
i. This was caused by an evil spirit.
ii. She was not necessarily possessed.
iii. But she suffered terribly.
THE COMPASSION OF THE LORD JESUS
1. Despite the fact that she suffered terribly she was at the synagogue.
a. She was greatly afflicted.
b. She found some solace in the synagogue.
2. The Lord Jesus gently called out to her and said these words:
“Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”
Luke 13:12
a. Those were tender words.
b. But they were also words of great power.
3. Kindly, the Lord Jesus reached out to her with His hands.
a. Immediately, she was healed.
b. She was able to straighten up.
c. Naturally, she glorified God (Luke 13:13).
2.有一次
iii.
