Text: Luke 24: 13-16
THE DISCIPLES OF THE LORD JESUS
1. There was no doubt that they had found faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
a. Many had left their all to follow Him as Disciples.
b. They loved the Lord Jesus and followed Him with great devotion.
2. But the Crucifixion and Death of the Lord Jesus had shaken the faith of many.
a. Some of the women disciples had a special angelic encounter.
b. These women had become faithful and ardent witnesses of the risen Saviour.
c. Many of the men disciples struggled with believing the testimony of the women.
THE ROAD TO EMMAUS
“Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.”
