MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – SALVATION

“Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—”

Galatians 3:5

THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. Prayer for the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

a. This was a special prayer of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:16-17, 25-26).
b. His roles would include:
i. Dwelling in the hearts of all believers.
ii. Teaching
iii. Helping the believers to understand and remember what the Lord Jesus taught.

2. Paul’s remark here:

a. It was God who supplied the Holy Spirit.
b. Additional works of the Holy Spirit.
i. Miracles were done through the Apostles.
ii. But the power behind the miracles was the Holy Spirit.

3. On what basis was the Holy Spirit supplied?

a. It was not because of the works of the law.
b. This was an obvious fact that could be easily verified.
i. Through checking the Scriptures.
ii. Through a careful study of how the Spirit of God works.
iii. The works of the law would never result in the supply of the Spirit of God.

4. The place of Faith.

a. It is through faith that one is justified.
b. It is through faith that one receives salvation.
c. All miracles require the exercise of faith.
d. The focus has always been faith in the Lord and not the works of the law.

圣灵的事工

1. 祈求圣灵的恩赐

a. 不是因为行律法

iii.上帝所赐的圣灵不可能是因行律法而来

4. 信仰的位置

a.一个人因信称义

b.一个人通过信心获救恩

d.重点一直是在主里的信心，而不是行律法
