A GREAT LIGHT
What does it mean to be oppressed?
To be in fear and to feel distressed?
Isaiah warned of the danger of invasion;
Israel was soon overwhelmed by the Assyrians.
Isaiah also wrote as a true prophet of God;
Darkness will prevail if we exclude the LORD!
Despair can set in and there is dark despair;
The Lord came to show God’s love and care.
Darkness engulfed the lives of many greatly;
The religious leaders healed wounds lightly.
What was needed was clear and strong light;
The Lord Jesus came with power and might!
The Great Light dispelled the power of darkness;
The Gospel proclaimed brought wonderful gladness.
The Message of the Lord Jesus is so needed today;
Let us share with many, The Truth, the Light, the Way.
