MY FATHER
The Lord Jesus taught the Fatherhood of God;
He did this by explaining about the LORD!
He is to be regarded most reverently;
But He is to be loved most dearly.
The LORD was never meant to be a distant God;
His role as Father is found in the holy Record.
That God is a wonderful Father is taught clearly;
To draw closer to Him is surely a glorious reality.
The Lord Jesus spoke of God as “My Father” tenderly;
But this teaching of His was taken very poorly.
He was persecuted for speaking in this manner;
His detractors were terribly filled with anger.
The Lord Jesus made it possible for us to be God’s children;
We will be well-received by the LORD God in heaven.
The Lord Jesus is the only begotten Son of God;
He has been given power and authority by the LORD.
