"The LORD is exalted"

Text: Isaiah 33:5

A GREAT WORD OF ASSURANCE

Isaiah’s prayer for salvation was heard. Great assurance was found through trust in the LORD.

“The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high;
He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times,
And the strength of salvation;
The fear of the LORD is His treasure.”
Isaiah 33:5-6

1. Knowledge of God.

a) That He is an exalted Being.

b) His dwelling place is in the heavens on high.

2. God’s relationship with Zion.

a) God had chosen Zion.

b) He has filled Zion with the following:

i) Justice

ii) Righteousness

iii) Wisdom

iv) Knowledge

c) All of the above would result in stability.

i) In times of peace.

ii) In times of war.

iii) These blessings ought to be better understood and treasured.

3. Salvation

a) Salvation (deliverance) would be accompanied by His strength.

b) The fear of the LORD must be better comprehended and practised.

c) This “fear” is His treasure and thus ought to be sought.
